WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY ABOUT OUR FIRM
Mike is an exceptional attorney. He was recommended by my son and I would definitely use him again.
Thank you so much for handling my traffic violation. I feel very confident in brining any other matter that I have to your office.
I felt very comfortable during an uncomfortable experience. Michael seemed to stay on the matter to expedite the time frame, and I appreciated the ease of signing the final papers. I also appreciate Michael’s easy manner; enjoy working with him and the firm.
He took care of my case like he told me he would.
Thank you for helping us handle a very difficult and unpleasant situation. We are thankful for the way and manner you handled the case. Your contact in person and by phone with the individual showed grace and compassion that reflected our values as a church.
SETTLEMENTS & RESOLUTIONS
We won our petition to rescind statutory summary suspension today in Madison county. States attorney presented a great argument but in the end we were successful. Our client was very satisfied as his driver’s license will be fully reinstated Monday.
Big day for a client in a family case. The day began over in Missouri this morning (right outside St. Louis) where we successfully defended against two orders of protections which were filed against my client AFTER he filed a Petition for Custody of the child in Illinois. From there, with the same client, we traveled to Illinois this afternoon and won a hearing in Illinois with the end result being that the other party was ordered to move back to Illinois from Missouri (where she moved shortly before she filed her Order of Protection to live with her new boyfriend). The client was very happy to say to the least and will be seeing his child for the first time since this summer this weekend. The case is far from over but a very gratifying day. Days like this don't happen every day in family court but it's nice when they do.
Big win in Macoupin County on a contested Motion for Summary Judgment with the end result being that my client will get back the house (and acreage) in Brighton that used to be in her mom and dad's name. I don't normally take these types of cases, but after meeting with the client, I felt she was wronged and deserved justice
Big win today for our client and our office in a child support enforcement hearing. The parent ordered to pay back child support last year had not paid as ordered. We had a hearing today in front of the judge and he was found in indirect civil contempt, ordered to pay the back child support and ordered to reimburse my client for her attorney fees!
The Law Office of Michael R. Wesley, LLC recently settled an automobile collision case for the policy limits of $100,000.00. The "at fault" driver ignored a stop sign and struck my client's vehicle on the driver side while traveling approximately 50 mph causing significant injury to the client.
Today, we won temporary custody in a DCFS case where Mom and Dad were accused of neglect by DCFS and the State. The petition filed by the State said Mom and Dad lived together when the neglect occurred but we were able to convince the State, DCFS and the judge that the allegations in the petition as to dad were wrong. Dad now has custody of the child and DCFS is only investigating Mom.
I am interested in scheduling a complementary consultation and receiving additional information.
